The Class of 2023 will be among the first to benefit from the range of industry standard facilities and first-class resources available at our multi-million pound extension which boasts construction and engineering workshops, hybrid vehicle technology facilities, a four-court sports hall, gym and 300-seat auditorium.
Your Bright Future
As a leading Staffordshire college, NSCG offers a variety of pathways to enable students to define their future and gain the qualifications needed for their chosen career. With more subject and study options to choose from than those traditionally offered in school, learners are able to select the subjects that interest them and which provide the best combination for their future career. Situated in the heart of Stafford and conveniently located next to Stafford Railway Station, students can choose from a huge variety of subjects in study options including A-levels, A+ programmes, vocational courses, T Levels and apprenticeships. The central location means we also benefit from strong employer partnerships having nurtured successful relationships with many companies and businesses across the West Midlands.
Last year our students achieved record-breaking results and celebrated COLLEGE INVESTING IN OUTSTANDING TEACHING, FACILITIES AND COURSE OPTIONS TO ENSURE THE BEST EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR ALL STUDENTS grades that exceeded all national benchmarks with a 99.1% A-level pass rate of which 87% achieved grades A* C.
Achieving three or more substantial qualifications is key to unlocking progression on to university and into a good career and last year we sent 1,220 students to 102 universities around the UK more than any other college in Staffordshire. Within the extensive range of vocational programmes also available, last year NSCG celebrated a pass rate of 98.4% from those who completed a BTEC Extended Diploma with 49% of students achieving grades DDD or above equivalent to three A grades at A-level.
Brand new T Levels can also be studied in subjects ranging from digital coding, education, electrical and mechanical engineering to business administration, nursing, midwifery and surveying. If you’re looking to earn as you learn, we also offer a diverse range of apprenticeships allowing learners to get paid whilst developing skills and knowledge in the workplace as they study for a Level 2, 3 or 4 qualification at the same time.
We also have outstanding adult learning programmes and a range of university-level courses on offer including foundation degrees, HNCs and HNDs with 93% of our students walking straight into a job or onto a top-up degree programme upon completion.
As the first further education provider in England to achieve top grades in every area of Ofsteds reformed Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and one of the top 10% of colleges in England for learners aged 16-18, there’s never been a more exciting time to continue your education with NSCG.
