An apprenticeship is a great way to learn while you earn and gain recognised qualifications.
With Chasetown Civil Engineering, part of the Tara Group, you’ll have the opportunity to spend time studying for a qualification whilst working.
Want to understand the ins and outs of construction? Then this is the place to start. You will interpret design specifications to preparea construction site ready for structural building works to begin. Over an 18-month period, you will gain all the skills required alongside a Level 2 Groundworker apprenticeship qualification.
These are all site-based roles, so you will need to be happy to work outdoors in all weathers. You will need to be good with your hands, good working within a team, and passionate about the industry. You will be based in the East and West Midlands and will require your own transport to travel to the site and occasionally our offices in Chasetown, Staffordshire. GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 2-3) essential.
To support you developing your career we’ll give you an individual development plan which will help you define a clear purpose and objectives to help you get where you want to go. And, you’ll be joining a group that will provide you with all the necessary support within a culture that has strong family values.
Jess Simms (pictured) is one of our current Groundworker Apprentices. She said: “My dad has always worked in the construction industry so I have grown up around it and I knew it was something I wanted to do too. I got the opportunity through my dad, he arranged for me to start for a gang on site through one of the contracts managers at the company. Every day is something different, so it doesn’t get tedious. I also love driving the plant machinery!”
Applications for our 2023 intake of Groundworker Apprentices are now open.
Please visit taratalent.co.uk/entry-routes/apprenticeships for more information and to complete the application form before our closing date of June 30.
