ORGANISATION PROVIDES ONE-TO-ONE HELP FOR PEOPLE ACROSS THE REGION TO TAKE THE NEXT STEPS TOWARDS EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION OR GAIN A QUALIFICATION

Black Country Impact Walsall

BC Impact Walsall is a dedicated employability programme, designed to help 16–29-year-olds in Walsall and the wider Black Country with their career aspirations.

Based across the borough, BC Impact Walsall offers a unique way for young people to reach their full potential. Delivered across the four Black Country Local Authorities of Dudley, Sandwell, Wolverhampton and Walsall, the programme aims to address the barriers faced by young people who are not in employment, education or training by supporting them into positive outcomes that lead to a brighter future.

BC Impact Advisors offer one-to-one career support for participants, which is used to gain a full understanding of the participant aspirations and barriers to reaching their goals. Once identified, advisors work with the participant to offer a tailored learning experience and flexible support based upon their needs, utilizing the resources the programme provides.

The programme has access to a diverse range of training courses and work placements all fully funded by the programme itself, as well as being able to source and fund unique courses that fit a participant’s needs.

BC Impact staff also work with local employers and businesses, being able to place participants in front of employers that matter. Those with ambitions of starting their own business or becoming self-employed can also access support with BC Impact, with the programme offering expert guidance from industry professionals in the borough. With this support, BC Impact Walsall alone has successfully helped over 150 participants achieve a successful outcome throughout 2021 and you could be next!

This project is receiving up to £43.6 million of funding made up of £21.8 million from the European Social Fund and £21.8 million from the Youth Employment Initiative, plus match funding of up to £21.8 million from the National Lottery Community Fund and partners
