HEREFORD College of Arts (HCA) is a specialist arts college. There are a range of college-level courses all taught by expert staff who have worked in the creative industries, and many of whom continue to do so.
A spokesman said: “At HCA you’ll explore, create, innovate and collaborate.
“Our courses will help you to discover your own creative voice, develop your skills and fully equip you for your journey within the creative, digital or performance industries.
“We’ll invite you to challenge what you thought you knew about art, media, design, digital media, music, or performing arts, and explore the limitless potential of your own creativity.
“We work closely with a range of employers, and our courses have strong industry links to organisations operating at a local, regional and national level; these support students with varied opportunities, including employer and industry-related projects such as commercial ventures, exhibitions, performances, and projects – both within the local community and on a much bigger scale.” For example, HCA and BBC Hereford&Worcester has entered a collaborative agreement whereby the BBC will move its Hereford office to HCA’s campus.
The collaboration will benefit all HCA students by offering the BBC’s experience and knowledge of the creative and media sectors through creative briefs, involvement in specific projects and access to BBC staff as ‘visiting speakers’. Students will also have the possibility of showcasing their work on BBC platforms including social media.
HCA has also agreed to host a new series of BBC Music Introducing recordings on its campus. For more information on the courses on offer, visit www.hca.ac.uk
