The Khalsa Academy Wolverhampton is a school driven by excellence.
It is led by Principal Mrs Anita Kaur Notta, her Senior Leadership Team and is part of the Khalsa Academies Trust.
The Academy welcomes all children from different faiths and backgrounds, ensuring that they can access a high quality education, knowledge, skills and values that they need to become a successful participant in the local community and beyond.
The school’s principles and values are universal and very much in line with British values. They are based on the three principles of Sikhi:
TKAW isacentre of excellence for computer science and is the Computing at Schools (CAS) Community for delivering first class teacher training for computer science teachers for Wolverhampton and its surrounding areas.
TKAW launched its sixth form: Khalsa Sixth (KVI) in September 2020. The sixth form prides itself on the same principles, values and expectations as the rest of the school. Staff want students to have the same foundations, but a different experience.
The additional experience such as Level 1 Teaching Assistant courses, EAL mentors, Sports Leadership Awards, EPQs etc will set students apart when they embark on their journey into further education. Links with external agencies such a red brick universities, Coach Bright etc allows the sixth form to link experiences through their support and guidance into further education.
