Why study at Newman University?
Newman University is right on your doorstep and with its transport links across the Black Country and the rest of the West Midlands you are able to easily get to the nearby attractions such as Birmingham City Centre, whilst being able to concentrate on your studies within peaceful and comfortable surroundings on campus.
Many of our students live at home and commute to the campus. By living at home, keeping friends and routines, and often juggling other responsibilities or work, there is still the opportunity to enjoy higher education, to ‘fit in’ and have an immediate sense of belonging – learning new skills with new friends, people just like you.
At Newman University you will notice that class sizes are small as interactive teaching is encouraged.
You know your tutors and your tutors know you – they will challenge and stretch you to reach your potential and support your learning journey. You will be taught by academics who are experts within their field, and are passionate in sharing this knowledge with you.
You will be able to take advantage of the work placement opportunities that Newman University offers on all three-year undergraduate courses, which aim to give you the key life skills and experience needed for employment when you graduate.
You can also immerse yourself in university life through societies, sports clubs or by becoming a student ambassador or course representative. Whatever your passion Newman University encourages you to get involved, and to take an active part in the Newman community.
