The curriculum is delivered by a superb team of talented, highly qualified and experienced staff, committed to providing inspiring teaching across a wide range of subjects including A-levels, BTECs and the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

A-level subjects on offer include the full range of facilitating subjects such as Maths, Further Maths, English Literature, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History, French and Spanish as well as many other specialist courses including Music, Psychology, Sociology, Engineering, Performing Arts, RE, Film Studies, Computer Science and many more.

St Peter’s SLAM! Basketball Academy

UNIQUE PARTNERSHIP OFFERS TOP LEVEL TEACHING, COACHING, MENTORING AND SUPPORT TO HELP YOUNG BASKETBALL STARS OF THE FUTURE ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS

St Peter’s SLAM! Basketball Academy is a unique partnership between St Peter’s Collegiate Academy Sixth Form and Team Wolverhampton SLAM! Basketball Club which provides an outstanding academic and athletic development programme like no other.

Whether it is to study or play at university level, gain scholarships in the UK/USA or play basketball to a professional standard, our students will have the teaching, coaching, mentoring and support to achieve their basketball dreams.

The St Peter’s SLAM! Basketball Academy is proud to offer:

  • 10 – 15 hours of basketball training/development every week
  • Club-level league and cup competitions
  • Participation in national and international camps, competitions and tournaments
  • Strength and conditioning training
  • Game film analysis
  • Individual skill development programmes
  • Recognised basketball and sports development qualifications

Our inclusive academy caters for both elite and development level student athletes, ensuring all can succeed. Students will have the opportunity to compete in a range of leagues including the Academy Basketball League (ABL), U18 National Basketball League, Association of Colleges (AoC) and Youth Basketball League (YBL).

Students enrolled in our SLAM! Academy will receive expert coaching from our Director of Basketball and Head Coach, Mr Douaine Anderson. Mr Anderson has had an outstanding basketball career and is currently playing for Great Britain’s Over 40s Basketball Team having previously played for the British Basketball League.

Financial assistance is available for those students who qualify for bursary support.
