WHEN it comes to choosing a university, we know there’s alot to think about. But at Swansea University we’ve had more than a century of experience when it comes to helping students make the most of their studies.
As a Swansea student, we want you to feel supported, both personally and academically, and our award-winning teaching, facilities, and support services are all ready to help you settle quickly into university life.
Easy to relax
If you choose Swansea, you’ll be living in a city renowned for its warm welcome and its outstanding scenery. Just a three-hour train journey from Birmingham, Swansea University spans two stunning campuses at each end of Swansea’s waterfront.
The location of both campuses makes it easy to relax at the beach or explore beautiful Gower while being just minutes away from the lively city centre. But don’t take our word for it. Our research-led teaching and dedicated support services create a welcoming and inspiring environment for students – so much so that Swansea was awarded Second Place for Diversity and Inclusion in the WhatUni Student Choice Awards in 2021.
Here’s what some of our students said: “It was and still is an amazing choice to come and study at this wonderful university, which offers you great quality studies with staff who are very supportive and well mannered. It is in an interesting and beautiful city and I don’t know if I will ever be able to leave this delightful place.” Vaida, BSc Psychology (WhatUni 2021)
“I absolutely love this uni and am so happy that I chose to study here. My course is very fitting to me and the lecturers make the content fun and enjoyable as well as providing lots of help if you are ever stuck. Everyone is very friendly and always around to help you out.” Shannon, BSc Geography (WhatUni 2021)
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Swansea university. Teaching, both online and in person, has been great and I’ve always felt well supported by both the uni and the lecturers.” Rebecca, BA Modern Languages (Whatuni 2021)
