ENJOY A UNIQUE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND CARVE YOUR OWN PATHWAY IN SMALL SIXTH FORM OFFERING SMALLER CLASS SIZES AND PERSONALISED MENTOR TIME

The Bewdley School

BUILD your future with us! With over 28 Advanced level courses on offer, three specialist career pathways and over 90% of our students gaining their first choice university, further education or employment placement, so, students can create their unique educational experience within our newly refurbished centre.

With a diverse range of weekly super curricular opportunities, our students are able to carve their own pathways. These include: live virtual lectures – hosted in our new lecture theatre, academic taster days and free online courses. The difference is … we seek these opportunities for our students to make sure they are the best available.

Moreover, we encourage everyone to explore and extend their knowledge of their curriculum by completing the Extended Project Qualification or Gold Crest Award. These research skills are invaluable for post-18 education and allow students to develop their own questions and seek their own answers.

We host a range of post-18 providers at our annual on-site careers fair and are joined by representatives from universities from Oxbridge, Birmingham, Worcester and Newman University throughout the academic year. We understand the value and importance of work experience. Through our subscription to Springpod, our students are encouraged to explore all sector insights and apply for a varied range of work experience including: Airbus, Spotify, medicine, veterinary placements and Young Professionals.

It is vital that students also develop their interpersonal skills which they can do with us through: Young Enterprise, Gold Duke of Edinburgh, charity fundraising, student voice and the debating club.

As a smaller Sixth Form we are able to offer smaller class sizes and personalised mentor time. Within subjects and our study base students are well known and supported. This allows us to provide targeted careers support with academic references which are individual, to enable the interviewer or university to know the real applicant.
