A SCHOOL THAT OFFERS A BESPOKE CURRICULUM WITH TEACHERS WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT THEIR SUBJECTS AND PROVIDE HELP AND SUPPORT TO ALL STUDENTS

The Hart School

THE Hart School is celebrating a hattrick of successes. Not only has it been revealed to be in the top five when it comes to being Year 6 parents’ first choice of secondary school for their children in Staffordshire, but, when it comes to setting their pupils up for life after high school, more Sixth Formers than ever before are going off to study at university, including at Oxford.

And to top things off, the Rugeley school’s success continued with great exam results at both GCSE and A-level once again last summer – including celebrating more students achieving top A* grades.

Just one of many Sixth Form highlights from last year was celebrating Anya Tregay securing a place to study law at Oxford University.

The Hart School’s Sixth Form is renowned for its unique bespoke curriculum, which includes Level 3 Dance and Public Services, that it creates around each specific student intake’s career goals and has won high praise from Ofsted, students and parents.

Over the last two years the Penkridge Bank Road school, which is part of Creative Education Trust, has invested £1.1million in its facilities. This significant investment includes refurbished Sixth Form areas, a dedicated Sixth Form entrance, an all-weather leisure dome, a new ICT suite and refurbished library – and there’s more to come.

Chair of Governors, Nina Dawes OBE, added: “It’s very satisfying to hear such praise for the high quality of our teaching and the real sense of community throughout the school. We are a school built on strong Christian values and it is rewarding to know that those values radiate through the attitudes, behaviours, actions and aspirations of our students. Looking to the future, we will take every opportunity to raise standards further and continue to offer our pupils the very best educational experience.”

Its extensive extra-curricular programme has even been cited by students as helping set them up for university life and the world of work. As well as more students going to university, the school also guides students to other destinations post Sixth Form, like Higher and Degree Apprenticeships. This year saw Sixth Formers achieve an average Grade B; over a fifth achieve three grades at aBor above, and nearly half its cohort achieving three grades at C or above.

The Hart School is still accepting applications for its Sixth Form. For an application form please email enquiries@hartschool.org.uk and for more on courses visit www.hartschool.org.uk/sixth-form
