As a High Performance Learning School, we believe in making sure that our students strive for the very best outcomes, led by passionate and expert teachers who can ensure your success.
Our Sixth Form is based in our dedicated post-16 area, with access to a common room, study areas, IT facilities, a fitness suite and with direct access to an excellent careers advisor.
We offer our Sixth Form students the chance to develop and become leaders across the school, working to support younger students and develop qualities that universities and apprenticeships seek.
Our curriculum is based around recommended options pathways which link into careers and degrees which are real-world relevant and popular in our community. They are:
- Medicine and Health
- Entrepreneurship
- Social Studies
- Sports Sciences
Within each of these areas, we offer excellent teaching experiences, dedicated work experience placements and chances to visit universities to help you to secure the next steps in your journey after you leave Colton Hills. We see all activities in the Sixth Form as being important in supporting our students to go on to university, and more than 80% of our Sixth Form students do this each year.
New for 2023 in our curriculum are E-Sports and Criminology, with our dedicated E-Sports room allowing
students to explore videogaming from all its business and social aspects. We are also looking to find ways to make our offer relevant and inspiring for our students and their interests.
