Our Sixth Form is a dynamic and ambitious space, designed to support you in achieving the best possible outcomes. We believe in making sure that our students strive for the very best outcomes, led by dedicated teachers who set high expectations and can guide our students towards success. As of 2026, our school continues to build on its reputation as a “Good” Ofsted-rated school and its recent recognition as one of the Top 20 Happiest Schools in the UK (The Sunday Times, 2025).
Our Sixth Form offers access to a common room, study areas, IT facilities, brand new science laboratories with direct access to an excellent sixth form team including a careers advisor. We believe in developing leaders, offering opportunities for students to mentor younger peers and cultivate qualities such as leadership skills that universities and employers value.
Designed around career-relevant pathways, our curriculum ensures that your studies align with real-world opportunities. Colton Hills offers excellent teaching experiences, dedicated work experience placements and visits to universities. We see all activities in the Sixth Form as being important in supporting our students to go on to further education, and approximately 80% of Sixth Form students do this each year.
Our alumni have previously achieved academic excellence required to gain admission to highly sought-after institutions including Russell Group universities such as Oxford and Cambridge universities. Other opportunities include apprenticeships with prestigious organisations such as Barclays and KPMG. Many go on to exciting careers such as acting, presenting, performing music on international platforms and even taking part in the Olympics.
