The Bewdley Sixth Form offers more than a place to gain excellent qualifications.
It is a supportive environment that bridges the gap between school and further education and employment. With over 28 Advanced Level courses on offer, and specialist career pathways, we recognise students as individuals, and support them to make the right choices to carve their own pathway.
Designated study and recreational spaces for Sixth Form students, small class sizes and specialist Sixth Form teachers ensure that academic standards remain high, and students have high aspirations for themselves.
We specialise in teaching A-levels that allow students to progress to the most competitive universities. Our committed and enthusiastic staff are available to support students with a range of strategies, from reading essays to helping develop revision timetables.
Students receive a weekly newsletter bursting with super-curricular opportunities. We want our students to have a broad education that goes beyond the constraints of exam specifications, and we seek out these opportunities for our students. Young Enterprise, Gold Duke of Edinburgh, Operation Wallacea and charity events are just some of the other opportunities for students.
We understand the value and importance of work experience and developing employability skills. Working with Springpod, enables all students to explore industry sector insights and take part in work experience. We also host a ‘Next Steps’ conference where universities and apprenticeship providers visit Sixth Form to help students explore their career options and to make informed choices regarding their next steps into university, apprenticeships or employment.
